My geek levels

This is one of those silly geek posts. If you have ever played D+D (Dungeons and Dragons(WoW, CoH)) you will know how to create a character. This is a take on that system for working out your real life level.

In order to work out you overall level take you age as you level.
I am level 18 (being 18)
Now think of what you have done in your life and how you preceve yourself to be. Here is my version

I have watched films in total for about 3 years back to back =
Level 3 Film Buff
I have been playing games for about 5 years =
so I am a level 5 Geek.
I am also lost mentaly so I would class that as a level in Sanity(or not) =
I am level 5 insane
The other five levels are in sage =
Level 5 sage.

So in summary I am a 18th level person
5 Geek/3 Film/5 Insanity/5 Sage

You must have a level in a hobbie, Mental State, Education and Entertainment. This should give you an alround character.
This is just for a LOL it would be interesting to see what others put.
You can have a maximum of 4 classes before you start taking a penalty of 2 levels for each extra class. (level 23 who takes 5 different clases should have a combined level of 21 for example).

This whole post came about from a though about a discussion from many months ago in Team GDCI headquaters. This was waht would everyones D+D stats be. In D+D you have six attributes that make a character.

STRENGTH - You power to lift and break things

DEXTERITY - How nible and light footed you are

CONSTITUTION - How well you handle physical things like pain

INTELEGENCE - How brainy you are

WISDOM - You preceval of the enviroment and how knowledgeble you are

CHARISMA - You apperance to others (the higher teh more beautiul)

Your typical human has a score of 10 for each one of the above but as a charcter you noramlly role 4 D6 and take away the lowest. this normally gives an above average character to represent you in the game.

The discussion went along the lines of if you were in D+D what class would you be and what stats would you have.

We worked it out that I would be a monk with teh following stats

STR - 14 (+2)

DEX - 14

CON - 12 (+1)

INT - 15 (+2)

WIS - 17 (+3)

CHA - 10 (0)

The number in brackets is the bonus to you skills and interactions with others. For example a +2 bonus to strength would give you a +2 to hit with a melee weapon. +2 INT would give you a mastery of two extra languages at a basic level.

Its all pretty complex but if you can understand it work out what you would be and post it on the commetns part or email me with it.
