King Kong

Peter Jackson has done it again and created a very enjoyable film. The story is decent but no where near as good as LOTR.
The acting was good to. Jack Black is a good actor but he had no cameo lines like in his other films and also he looks proper dodgy in a suit. The actor from The Peanist (I think thats how you spell it) was a very convincing love interest and also a very good hero. He fitted the part perfectly. The actress Poppy Montgomery (Without A Trace (Tv Progs)) was also a very convincing female lead.
The star of the show is the actor that CGed Kong. He played a very impressive Gorilla. I was impressed at the acuracy of the portrayal. He should definatly get the oscar even though he was not present in the film.

My main few beefs about the film was some of the mistakes.
  • The army were in british uniforms (not american ones)
  • The crysler building is the talest building in Manhatten but it was dwarfed by the one Kong climbed.
  • They had biplanes with two cockpits (one for the gunner) which were late second world war not 1920's-30's.
  • They had Lugers and Thomsons on the boat (luger is german)
  • These were the only ones I noticed and I hope that there are no more because Peter Jackson should no better.

All hail to the director Peter for creating a good film for the Kids and all gawp in amazemant as he uses blue screens badly (like in Narnia) but manages to pull it off with style.

I cannot wait for The Hobbit.

The leading lady is Naomi Watts....not that Poppy whatever her name is!

And the guy from The Pianist is Adrian Brody.

Gemma (who is immensely bored)
